With-brake variant of the PGEA-50-26 slim servo-electric parallel gripper — adds a self-locking holding brake that retains ~85 % of gripping force on power loss, with identical 15–50 N / 26 mm / 0.5 kg specs.

~ €762estimate

Curator estimate (net) for the with-brake (-W) build, from schweiger-shop.de (DE), 2026-07. ≈ +€27 over the without-brake (-O) build.

DE distributor: ~3 weeks (backorder), then 1–3 days to Germany

Overview

The PGEA-50-26-W is the braked configuration of DH Robotics' PGEA-50-26 slim servo-electric two-finger parallel gripper. It is mechanically and electrically identical to the standard PGEA-50-26 (-O) — 26 mm total stroke, 15–50 N adjustable force per jaw, ±0.02 mm repeatability, 0.15 s open/close, 0.5 kg, 118 × 55 × 29 mm, IP40, 24 V DC — but adds a self-locking holding brake that retains roughly 85 % of the gripping force when power is removed, preventing workpiece drop on e-stop or power loss. This makes it the preferred build for vertical lifts and safety-relevant handling. Control is Modbus RTU over RS-485 plus digital I/O (optional TCP/IP, USB 2.0, CAN 2.0A, PROFINET, EtherCAT), with configurable position, force and speed and grasp-status/drop detection. The brake adds no weight or length on the 50-26 size.
