The maxon HEJ 90 is the larger member of maxon's High Efficiency Joint actuator family (model HEJ 90-48-140), targeting locomotion and propulsion in dynamic robots. Like the HEJ 70 it integrates a torque-dense motor, planetary gearbox, absolute encoder and EtherCAT electronics into a sealed actuator, in a higher ~140 N·m torque class.
