Iron is XPeng's full-size humanoid, developed by the Chinese EV maker for its own factories and partners. The next-generation version stands ~1.73 m and weighs ~70 kg, with 82 actively-driven degrees of freedom (around 200 total including passive joints) and 22-DOF dexterous hands. It uses a bionic 'bone–muscle–skin' structure with a flexible spine and soft outer skin for safer interaction, 'Eagle-Eye' 720° vision, and three of XPeng's in-house Turing AI chips delivering ~2,250 TOPS. XPeng targets large-scale production in late 2026.
