Overview

REEM-C is PAL Robotics' fully ROS-based biped humanoid for research and education. It stands 1.65 m, weighs 70 kg, and has 44 degrees of freedom. It can walk stably at up to 2.5 km/h, climb stairs and sit on a chair, and lift 10 kg with both arms (1 kg single-arm extended). It runs on two Intel Core i7 computers, with force/torque sensors and laser rangefinders in each foot, a stereo camera and a 4-microphone array. REEM-C is widely used as a humanoid research and teaching platform.
