The SX5-R is the Remote member of Banner's SX5 safety laser scanner family: it carries the same 275° optical head and 5.5 m protective / 40 m warning range as the rest of the line, but its safety outputs and zone-set configuration live on a paired SX5 Master unit (SX5-M10 or SX5-M70) rather than on the Remote itself, over an M12 Master-to-Remote link. Used to add coverage sides to an AGV or machine cell without a second independent controller. Rated Type 3 / Category 3 / PLd / SIL2, IP65, full 30/40/50/70/150 mm detection-capability options.
