The microScan3 Core I/O is the local-I/O entry point of SICK's microScan3 platform: a single M12, 8-pin connector carries 24 V DC supply, one OSSD pair and three freely-programmable universal I/Os, with no fieldbus. It covers a 5.5 m protective field / 40 m warning field over a 275° scan angle, PL d / SIL 2 / Category 3, and switches between 2 monitoring cases built from up to 8 configurable fields — enough for simple, fixed-zone hazardous-area guarding on stationary machinery without a safety network.
