The SX5-B6 is the standalone member of Banner's SX5 safety laser scanner family, replacing the discontinued SX5-B with a field-replaceable optics window. It continuously scans a 275° area to build a 2D protective zone out to 5.5 m (warning zone to 40 m), switching between up to 6 pre-configured safety zone sets via a single OSSD pair. Selectable detection capability (40/70 mm on this model) trades range for object-size sensitivity. Rated Type 3 / Category 3 / PLd / SIL2, IP65, in an aluminum housing with M12 power/I/O and M12 Ethernet (configuration/GUI) connectors.
