The MHW2 is a 180-degree angular air gripper: a single double-acting piston drives a rack-and-pinion mechanism that rotates both fingers together, so 'opening' folds the fingers flush against the body instead of sliding them apart linearly. That lets the tool retract to a very low profile for X-Y plane moves through tight fixturing before rotating closed onto the workpiece. A dedicated seal design keeps dust out and keeps the body shorter than a comparable cam-driven design. This 32mm body size rates 1.61 N.m effective gripping moment at 0.5 MPa.
