The MHR2 (with the auto-switch-ready MDHR2 variant) is SMC's compact rotary-actuated 2-finger parallel gripper. Despite the 'rotary actuated' name, a vane-type pneumatic rotary actuator drives an internal cam -- the fingers themselves still travel in true parallel (linear) motion via a cross-roller guide, giving MHZ2-equivalent parallel-jaw kinematics in a lower-profile package. Supports both external and internal gripping, mounts from 3 faces (axial, lateral, vertical side) via threaded holes plus dowel pins, and is rated for ISO Class 10 clean rooms. Ports are available on 2 sides (body-side R or axial-side E).
