The JMHZ2 compact parallel-style air gripper integrates the linear guide and finger into one piece for high rigidity and ±0.01mm repeatability, while shrinking one bore size smaller than the equivalent standard MHZ2 without losing guide performance (this ø16mm model matches the linear-guide rigidity of an MHZ2-20). It mounts 3 ways from 2 directions (axial or lateral, body-tapped or through-hole), carries positioning-pin holes for repeatable remounting after service, and accepts optional solid-state auto switches on either side via a built-in piston magnet. Offered in double-acting (both directions air-driven) and single-acting (spring-return, normally open or normally closed) actions; this listing covers the double-acting model, the standard configuration. SMC also offers this bore size as a made-to-order collaborative-robot-ready package (JMHZ2-16D-X4700B) with an integrated 3-port solenoid valve and pre-mounted auto switch behind a single M8 8-pin connector.
