The Nova 5 is the larger of two models in Dobot's Nova series, a commercial-grade cobot line positioned as 33-44% lighter and 20% smaller than Dobot's industrial CR series, aimed at beverage, restaurant, physiotherapy and light-commercial deployments where footprint and setup speed matter. It weighs 14 kg with an 850 mm reach and 5 kg payload, reaches 2 m/s max TCP speed, and pairs with a palm-sized CCBOX controller (200x120x55 mm, 1.3 kg) for rapid deployment in as little as 1 m² of floor space. Safety features include sub-0.01-second collision-stop response with 5 adjustable protection levels, human motion sensing and posture-freeze. Programming is code-free via trajectory replay and a graphical UI, with an SDK covering Java, C++, C#, Python, ROS, MATLAB, LabVIEW and Android for deeper integration.
