The GEH6040IL-03-B is the power version of Zimmer Group's GEH6000IL long-stroke electric gripper series. A brushless DC servo drive with integrated controller gives position, speed and force control over a 40 mm adjustable stroke per jaw, with 100–1000 N gripping force and a mechanical self-locking helical worm gear that retains grip on power loss. Control and sensing run over hot-pluggable IO-Link on a single unshielded cable. The hard-coated aluminium body is IP54, cleanroom-certified to ISO 14644-1 class 4, and rated for 5 million maintenance-free cycles. A gentle -31 version (10–180 N, 120 mm/s) targets delicate parts.
