Overview

The RMHF2 packages SMC's low-profile MHF2 gripper mechanism as a plug-and-play collaborative-robot end-effector: a built-in 3-port solenoid valve, exhaust throttle valve with silencer, auto switch (or an optional analog position sensor) and an M8 8-pin connector are unitized onto the gripper body, so the whole unit needs only one compressed-air line and one electrical cable instead of a separately piped and wired valve -- cutting air consumption roughly 20% per stroke versus an externally mounted valve. It mounts to a robot's tool flange via a built-in manual changer (ISO 9409-1-50-4-M6; a dedicated adapter flange ships in the box for Mitsubishi Electric and YASKAWA Electric robots, whose native flange standard differs) and ships with vendor plug-in software for 12 collaborative-robot brands. Robot identity, switch type, valve logic, cable, protective cover and manual-changer plate are all order-time options on one fixed mechanical body (64mm opening/closing stroke, 90N gripping force) -- this is the 'Long Stroke Type' in SMC's RMH collaborative-robot gripper family, alongside the shorter-stroke RMHZ2 (Standard Type) and 3-finger RMHS3.
