The OB7 is Productive Robotics' entry-level 7-axis collaborative robot, designed and built in Carpinteria, California. It carries a 5 kg payload across a 1000 mm reach with ±0.1 mm repeatability, and is taught by physically guiding the arm through a task on its control handle — no coding, robotics classes or PLC programming required. The extra 7th joint (vs. a 6-axis arm) lets it reach around obstructions such as a machine tool's sliding door. It ships as a complete system: robot arm, proprietary control computer, drag-and-drop control tablet with charging dock, and control handle. The control computer exposes Ethernet-based EtherNet/IP, TCP/IP and Modbus TCP for cell integration.
