The Keyence SZ-16D is a 270° time-of-flight safety laser scanner in the SZ series, revolving its internal mirror at 0.36° angular pitch for area/access protection and AGV collision prevention. Measurement data output type: outputs raw measured distance per beam axis (270°, up to 16 m) over RS-422A multi-drop serial (up to 4 units daisy-chained, max 30 m transmission distance) for AGV navigation/profiling; USB configuration port (OP-86941 cable); has NO dedicated OSSD safety output — not a standalone safety device, must be paired with a safety-rated unit for protective stopping.
