The SWIFTI CRB 1100-4/0.475 is ABB's high-speed collaborative robot, derived from the IRB 1100 industrial arm. It carries 4 kg over a 475 mm reach at a maximum TCP velocity of 4.32 m/s and holds 0.01 mm pose repeatability measured per ISO 9283 — figures that put it in industrial-robot territory rather than cobot territory. Collaboration is achieved by speed and safety separation monitoring: SafeMove Collaborative combined with a safety laser scanner (a Safety PLC is required to connect the scanner) lets it run without physical fencing, slowing or halting when a worker enters its working area, with an interaction status light signalling its state. Programming is via a clip-on lead-through device, Wizard easy programming and the SafeMove configurator App on the FlexPendant. The arm mounts at any angle, is rated IP40, carries up to 12 customer signals plus a 1000BASE-T Ethernet port on the upper arm, and routes four air lines to the wrist for vacuum picking. The tool flange is a standard ISO 9409-1-31.5-4-M5.
