The MHK2 wedge-cam air gripper uses a cam-driven slide guide instead of a plain linear guide or rack-and-pinion mechanism, eliminating lateral vibration along the stroke once a workpiece is held while keeping a compact body. A dust cover (chloroprene rubber standard, fluororubber or silicone rubber options) protects the mechanism in adverse environments. It mounts from 3 directions (axial, vertical, lateral; body-tapped or through-hole) and is interchangeable with SMC's MHQG2 series. Each of the 4 bore sizes (12, 16, 20, 25mm) is offered in standard or long-stroke (MHKL2) form, in double-acting, single-acting normally-open, or single-acting normally-closed action, with carbon-steel (standard) or stainless-steel fingers.
