The Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 is a high-performance modular PLC for demanding automation and robot-cell control. It offers a fast backplane bus, integrated diagnostics, optional motion-control and fail-safe (F) CPUs, and communicates over PROFINET, PROFIBUS and OPC UA. Programmed in the TIA Portal to IEC 61131-3, its digital/analog I/O scales via ET 200 modules.
