The SLC 420 is Schmersal's high-range safety light curtain tier, distinct from the compact SLC 440 line: a one-piece extruded round profile (49 mm diameter) housing rated Type 4 / Category 4 / PLe / SIL3 per IEC 61496-1, IP67, reaching up to 18 m depending on resolution (vs. SLC 440's max ~16 m). Available in 14, 30 and 50 mm resolutions with fixed/floating blanking and beam coding; master/slave versions exist for multi-side guarding. This finger-protection SKU ships with 120 beams over a 1210 mm protected height.
