The GL-S Series is Keyence's compact safety light curtain, built around two housing shapes for tight-space mounting rather than the multiple resolution tiers of the GL-R line: only one detection capability (25 mm) is offered, and the buying decision is which housing fits the machine. The GL-S24SH is the Slim-type (GL-SS) housing, 15 mm deep, meant for mounting in front of or behind a machine opening. 24 beam axes, 506 mm protected height, Type 4/PL e/SIL 3 rated. Muting, interlock and EDM are built in (muting is mutually exclusive with interlock/EDM per the vendor's user manual), pre-attached direct mounting brackets need only two screws, and up to 3 units are series-connectable.
