AURA (Advanced Use Robotic Arm) is Comau's high-payload collaborative robot, built on an industrial-scale arm and made fully collaborative with a sensitive foam skin covering over 100 contact zones plus proximity sensors, letting it work fenceless alongside people at up to 170 kg payload and 2790 mm reach. It targets heavy-duty collaborative tasks — machine tending, material handling and assembly of large parts — that were previously out of reach for cobots.
