The GuardShield 440L/445L is Rockwell's economical, general-purpose safety light curtain family in a torsionally-rigid extruded-aluminium, polyurethane powder-coated housing (40x50 mm cross-section), IP65. DIP-switch selectable operating modes (fixed/floating blanking, beam coding, start/restart interlock, external device monitoring) are set beneath a security door on both transmitter and receiver end caps. M12 quick-disconnect connectors and optical synchronization (first beam adjacent to the LEDs) avoid extra hard-wiring. Up to three GuardShield segment pairs can be interconnected (cascaded) with a common pair of OSSDs. This Type 2 SKU is 30 mm resolution, 24 beams over a 480 mm protected height.
