Data science and machine learning for robotics and control
Institute for Data Science in Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, headed by Prof. Sebastian Trimpe since May 2020. Works at the intersection of data science and mechanical engineering: robotics, reinforcement learning and safe RL, control and distributed control systems, UAV swarms and deformable-object dynamics. Runs the Robotics and Cyber-physical Systems Lab and the ZuseLab, built the Mini Wheelbot robotic platform, and is a participant in the Robotics Institute Germany initiative.
